Lets Go Mariners

The following presentation gathers data sets, highlights, and information from the Seattle Mariners’ 2022 baseball and Major League Baseball. Combining information, pictures, and data, I will strive to tell the story of a historical baseball season that ended a 21-year postseason drought, the longest in Major League Baseball and several other professional sports.

I am also using this story to explain some of the key stats that are often discussed on television broadcast or displayed on scoreboards. I have often been either curious and oblivious to what some of these acronyms mean and why they are important. ​

By the end, I hope to have informed my general audience on baseball and the drought ending 2022 Seattle Mariners season using data visualization and digital storytelling. ​
